On Thursday Year 1 went on a trip to St. Margaret’s Church.
Our gardening club have been working really hard with the help of Mr Ellwood.
Our School Nutrition Action Group (SNAG) met with Taylor Shaw, the company that provides our school meals, and discussed and fed back about how they thought the new dinner system and tablet ordering was working and also looked at the new menus which will start after half term.
EYFS shared ‘It was on a starry night’ and Year 1 performed ‘A Christmas recipe’ to the school and parents as part of their learning about the nativity story.
Year 2 and 3 went to St. John’s Church to take part in a prayer spaces event.
Pupils from the school enjoyed the opportunity to preform in the live nativity in Durham city centre.
Across our school, pupils have been studying different aspects of Christmas as part of their RE topics.
As part of their keeping safe topic, year 5 have enjoyed visits from many community members including police, wildlife experts, medical experts etc.
Pupils across the school brought in cakes they baked at home to sell at our bake sale. In the juniors, this formed part of the house competitions wish pupils can take part in over the year and brought some incredible results.
The ‘School Nutrition Action Group’ met with our kitchen staff and the managers from Taylor Shaw who provide our lunches.
