Our Year 6 children sold poppies in Durham and around school, with all money going to the British Legion. This was in preparation for their Remembrance Worship on Friday 9th November.
As part of the worship, the Year 6 children also ran a ‘Remembrance’ prayer space in the wooden gazebo by the school entrance. Every pupil in the school came to work with the Y6 leaders to reflect and place poppies. They created a woven prayer ribbon representing courage and peace to take away with them. After the Y6 worship, many parents and staff also came to offer their prayers and thoughts.
